The First Appointment
Field Notes 24 marks the opening chapter of the Cabinet of Curiosities.
Inspired by the notebooks, specimen collections, and observations of naturalists, artists, and explorers, this appointment was created for those who find inspiration in the details—the collected fragments, faded pages, curious discoveries, and quiet moments that often become the beginning of something meaningful.
Twenty-four recipients will be selected to receive a curated Field Notes collection assembled in the Mélange studio.
More than a giveaway, Field Notes 24 is an invitation into the world of the Cabinet of Curiosities and the first step toward becoming part of the Cabinet of Curiosities Class of 2026.
The Studio Edition Experiment
Field Notes 24 recipients will be among the first to experience an experimental studio formula prepared exclusively for this collection.
While different from the standard Morphose by Mélange finish, this special matte formulation was selected because its soft, archival character felt particularly suited to the world of Field Notes and the Cabinet of Curiosities.
Recipients will be invited to share their observations, impressions, and experiences as they work with the color.
The Path Forward
Each recipient automatically becomes part of the Cabinet of Curiosities class of 2026 and advances into later discoveries still to come.
