Hello! My name is Morgan Marchingo, and I am the Founder and Creative Director of Mélange Paints.
Mélange began with a simple belief: the magic of creativity and color has the power to transform not only furniture and interiors, but the way we experience our homes.
Over the years, our brand became known for helping thousands of makers, restorers, and homeowners bring new life to beloved pieces through thoughtfully crafted paint and timeless color.
In 2026, I had the opportunity to bring Mélange home again.
What followed was not simply a relaunch, but a careful reimagining of what the brand could become. Rather than offering hundreds of colors, I chose a different path; one centered on curation, restraint, and intentionality. Every shade in the collection was diligently designed to work in harmony with the others, creating a palette that feels collected, layered, and enduring.
My inspiration comes from old field guides, natural history collections, worn journals, museum archives, and the unmatched beauty found in the natural world. I am drawn to colors with depth, complexity, and subtle undertones—the shades that reveal something new as the light changes throughout the day.
Today, every aspect of Mélange is guided by that philosophy.
From color development and product formulation to packaging, photography, and customer experience, I remain personally involved in nearly every detail. Mélange is intentionally small, allowing each decision to be made with care rather than compromise.
My hope is that when you open a jar of Mélange paint, you discover more than a color. I hope you find a tool for creativity, a source of inspiration, and a palette that helps you create a home filled with character, story, and beauty.

Morgan Marchingo is the Founder and Creative Director of Mélange Paints, a curated house of color inspired by natural history, collected interiors, and the enduring beauty of thoughtfully crafted spaces. She oversees every aspect of the brand, from palette development and product creation to creative direction and customer experience, bringing a collector's eye and a naturalist's curiosity to each color in the collection. Inspired by field notes, museum archives, and the stories our homes tell, Morgan created Mélange to help makers and homeowners transform ordinary pieces into something extraordinary. She lives in Houston, Texas with her husband, Matt and their family.
