The Field Notes Kit was originally created as part of the Mélange Paints re-launch giveaway — a small, story-rich collection of studio goods, keepsakes, and color. After so many requests from those who didn’t receive one, we’ve made a limited number available to purchase.
Each kit includes one pint of Morphose by Mélange in a limited mystery studio color. These colors are created in small, one-time batches from the living color work of the Mélange Paints studio — remnants, experiments, and in-between shades gathered from the worktable and blended into something entirely new.
Each Field Notes color is part specimen, part surprise, and part studio artifact.
These shades are not part of the permanent Mélange Paints palette and may never be made again. Once a batch is gone, it is gone.
